Se trata del se\u00f1or Fernando Vargas, un ingeniero civil que se dedica al dise\u00f1o estructural desde que ejerce la profesi\u00f3n. Hace quince a\u00f1os compr\u00f3 su primer auto, un BMW 2002 con el cual constituy\u00f3 el Club BMW 2002 Colombia, hoy <em>BMW Club Cl\u00e1sicos Colombia<\/em>, junto con otros amigos. Cuando Fernando adquiri\u00f3 el BMW 2002 buscaba correr en el campeonato San Diego que adem\u00e1s de constar de 4 carreras de autos cl\u00e1sicos al a\u00f1o, era donde se debutaba la copa monomarca de BMW 2002.\u00a0El entusiasmo por mejorar el 2002 lo llev\u00f3 a conocer y enamorarse de una casa alemana que buscaba mejorar el desempe\u00f1o y dise\u00f1o de los BMW para pista y para calle. Se trataba de ALPINA, una empresa muy reconocida en todo el mundo por las mejoras realizadas sobre los BMW. ALPINA empez\u00f3 a modificar los BMW 1500 <em>Neue Klasse<\/em> en 1965 y desde entonces se caracteriz\u00f3 por sus grandes piezas de ingenier\u00eda y mejoras de alto rendimiento sobre los autos. Fue cuando se acerc\u00f3 a detallarlos que not\u00f3 lo que realmente eran: unos rines ALPINA de 16\u201d originales de BMW E30. Inmediatamente ofreci\u00f3 un dinero y se concret\u00f3 la compra. Fernando mantuvo los nuevos rines en su 2002 con la idea de comprar un E30 posteriormente y hacer con \u00e9l un tributo ALPINA. Hace nueve a\u00f1os empez\u00f3 a buscar ese carro que servir\u00eda para desarrollar aquel proyecto. Finalmente encontr\u00f3 un BMW 323i coup\u00e9 del a\u00f1o 1984 que hab\u00eda sido importado por la embajada de Argentina, raz\u00f3n por la cual hab\u00eda sido un carro diplom\u00e1tico pedido directamente a la f\u00e1brica con buen equipamiento: sillas deportivas, tapicer\u00eda en cuero, lavafaros, caja de herramienta grande, caja sport (llamada localmente caja ALPINA) y diferencial con autoblocante al 25%.<\/p>\n<p>Lo primero fue montar los rines ALPINA e ir adquiriendo la mayor\u00eda de partes de acuerdo al modelo de la carrocer\u00eda para luego realizar un trabajo de pintura completo y montar todo lo conseguido. Fernando ten\u00eda claro que para lograr un tributo deb\u00eda instalar partes ALPINA genuinas, aunque se han valorizado mucho por estos tiempos y cada vez escasean m\u00e1s. En el proceso consigui\u00f3 un nuevo juego de rines ALPINA escalonados, 7Jx16 adelante y 8Jx16 atr\u00e1s como ven\u00edan en la \u00e9poca, el fald\u00f3n delantero nuevo original, el spoiler de ba\u00fal original, volante MOMO Alpina original y emblemas de persiana y ba\u00fal originales. Lo anterior le dar\u00eda un car\u00e1cter aut\u00e9ntico y bien logrado al carro, cosa que indudablemente se cumpli\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div coraz\u00f3n. Fernando ha ido adquiriendo partes para realizar el <em>stroker<\/em> del motor 2.300 a 2.700 como lo hac\u00eda ALPINA. Lo m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil de conseguir ya lo logr\u00f3 con la ayuda de un querido amigo en Espa\u00f1a que sigue el foro y el BMW Club Cl\u00e1sicos Colombia. Se trataba del cig\u00fce\u00f1al forjado de un motor M21 de E30 324td. Aunque el <em>stroker<\/em> parece f\u00e1cil requiere casi todos los componentes del motor de un E30 325i y para ello ha ido comprando las partes necesarias como son la culata, las bielas y la inyecci\u00f3n <em>motronic<\/em>. La intenci\u00f3n es lograr un aspecto original pero con mucha m\u00e1s potencia, incluso superior a la del S14 de un M3 E30. Est\u00e1 pendiente la consecuci\u00f3n de las partes de alto rendimiento como son los pistones forjados a medida, un \u00e1rbol de levas de mayor cruce y alzada y la mano de obra que esto conlleva.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otras partes conseguidas durante el camino han sido el <em>header<\/em> en acero inoxidable, la suspensi\u00f3n completa <em>Bilstein Sport<\/em>, barras estabilizadoras M Technic, strutbar Sparco, computador de a bordo de 13 botones en espa\u00f1ol, tapa de v\u00e1lvulas ALPINA entre otros.
