La carrocer\u00eda fue lanzada dos a\u00f1os antes, pero fue en 1968 cuando la empresa tom\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n de subir el cilindraje a dos litros del legendario motor M10 creado por Alexander von Falkenhausen. El BMW 2002 es un \u00edcono de la marca b\u00e1vara que ha perdurado con el pasar de los a\u00f1os. Ahora es un veh\u00edculo de culto a partir del cual se han formado varios clubes como por ejemplo el BMW Club Cl\u00e1sicos Colombia que naci\u00f3 hace 15 a\u00f1os bajo el nombre de Club BMW 2002 Colombia.<\/p>\n<p>En el a\u00f1o 1966 se hab\u00eda lanzado al mercado la carrocer\u00eda sobre la cual se desarrollar\u00eda posteriormente el 2002. Se trataba del BMW 1600, un veh\u00edculo dos puertas que sal\u00eda de f\u00e1brica con un motor 1574cc y 85bhp de potencia m\u00e1xima. Fue durante esa \u00e9poca que Maximilian Hoffman, quien era un importador de carros de lujo europeos a los Estados Unidos, empez\u00f3 a presionar a BMW para que les enviaran autos con motores m\u00e1s potentes. La empresa pens\u00f3 en el 1600ti que ven\u00eda con doble carburador en 1967. Werner B\u00f6nsch y Alexander von Falkenhausen. Werner B\u00f6nsch se desempe\u00f1aba como director de planeaci\u00f3n de productos, mientras que Falkenhausen se destacaba por haber dise\u00f1ado el motor M10. Los dos eran propietarios de un BMW 1600 y hab\u00edan tomado la decisi\u00f3n de modificarlos de la misma forma. Cada uno de ellos mont\u00f3 entonces en su auto el motor dos litros basado en el mismo M10. Estos eran motores que ya exist\u00edan en la l\u00ednea BMW, pues estaba por un lado el Neue Klasse BMW 2000 y por el otro el BMW 2000CS. Fue entonces como los BMW 1600 de Werner B\u00f6nsch y Falkenhausen terminaron con motores M10 de dos litros que desarrollaban 100bhp. Fue un d\u00eda que estos personajes se encontraron en los talleres de la empresa y, buscando alardear de sus autos, se enteraron de que el otro hab\u00eda ejecutado la misma idea en su veh\u00edculo. Estuvieron de acuerdo en que la modificaci\u00f3n era todo un \u00e9xito y que deb\u00edan pasar la propuesta formal a la Junta Directiva de BMW para que se implementara.<\/p>\n<div d\u00eda podemos comprender que el 2002 naci\u00f3 a partir de la necesidad de Hoffman de pedirle a BMW carros m\u00e1s potentes y de la experimentaci\u00f3n de dos ejecutivos de la marca en sus propios veh\u00edculos. Simult\u00e1neamente, en el a\u00f1o 1968, se lanz\u00f3 al mercado una versi\u00f3n especial del auto que se denomin\u00f3 BMW 2002ti. La diferencia era que este carro contaba con dos carburadores que le proporcionaban una potencia de 119hp, casi 20 caballos m\u00e1s que el 2002 de carburador sencillo. Posteriormente este carro ser\u00eda reemplazado por la versi\u00f3n 2002tii que ya dejaba a un lado los carburadores para funcionar a inyecci\u00f3n. La potencia de este veh\u00edculo era de 130hp y alcanzaba una velocidad m\u00e1xima de 185 kil\u00f3metros por hora. Esta versi\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n fue ofrecida en versi\u00f3n <em>touring<\/em>. Finalmente, en el a\u00f1o 1973 fue lanzada la versi\u00f3n turbo del BMW 2002 en el Sal\u00f3n de Frankfurt. Este carro fue el primer veh\u00edculo turbo cargado de la marca BMW y contaba con 170hp a 5.800rpm. El evento tendr\u00e1 lugar en el Centro Comercial Calima, de la ciudad de Bogot\u00e1, el d\u00eda 21 de octubre de 2018. Ese d\u00eda ser\u00e1n bienvenidos todos los BMW 2002, sin importar su estado. El costo de la inscripci\u00f3n ser\u00e1 un juguete (no importa su valor), por veh\u00edculo, que ser\u00e1 donado a los ni\u00f1os del barrio donde est\u00e1 ubicado el Centro Comercial.<\/p>\n<p>Se desarrollar\u00e1 el siguiente orden del d\u00eda:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>7:00 am:<\/u> <u><\/u>punto de encuentro en Jumbo de la calle 170.<\/li>\n<li><u>8:00 am:<\/u>\u00a0parte la caravana hacia la autopista (sentido norte &#8211; sur), bajando por la NQS hasta la calle 19.<\/li>\n<li><u>9:00 am:<\/u>\u00a0ingreso de los veh\u00edculos al \u00faltimo piso del Centro Comercial Calima.
