Su pasi\u00f3n por los carros fue heredada de su abuelo y posteriormente de su padre. Recuerda con nostalgia aquellos tiempos en los que las familias se reun\u00edan los domingos para compartir lavando los autos en la entrada de la casa. Creci\u00f3 as\u00ed en \u00e9l un gran inter\u00e9s por los motores, las m\u00e1quinas, la mec\u00e1nica y especialmente las marcas alemanas BMW y Mercedes Benz. En la \u00e9poca de la Copa Sprint en Colombia Felipe corri\u00f3 en la categor\u00eda de turismos en un Fiat 147, posteriormente en el continente asi\u00e1tico se convirti\u00f3 en corredor profesional de autos a control remoto de pista 1\/8 llegando a participar en el mundial de Australia del a\u00f1o 2001. Felipe estaba con su padre quien le dijo: <em>cuando menos piense Mart\u00edn entra a la universidad<\/em>. Esto llev\u00f3 a Felipe a tomar la decisi\u00f3n de hacer un proyecto con su hijo, para tener un recuerdo muy especial antes de que \u00e9ste llegara a la adolescencia y sus intereses se enfocaran en otras cosas. Por su tradici\u00f3n familiar opt\u00f3 por llevar la idea por la l\u00ednea de los carros. Le propuso a Mart\u00edn que buscaran una BMW 2002 <em>touring<\/em> para restaurar o un BMW E21 como proyecto de carreras para el circuito San Diego. El proyecto de la 2002 <em>touring<\/em> lo abandonaron r\u00e1pidamente al ver que los precios eran mucho m\u00e1s altos que su presupuesto. Lleg\u00f3 al puerto de Cartagena un mes despu\u00e9s, el 15 de septiembre. Fue importado directamente por Leasing Santa Fe S.A. para ser entregado a su primer propietario, la compa\u00f1\u00eda Sanro Limitada, que lo matricul\u00f3 el 18 de marzo de 1982. Su segundo propietario fue Cristian Peter Boller quien se lo vendi\u00f3 a Felipe el 27 de Marzo del 2012.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un s\u00e1bado, en compa\u00f1\u00eda de Mario Correa, llegaron a la casa de Cristian a ver el carro.\u00a0\u00a0 Se le notaban los a\u00f1os de estar guardado, le costaba mucho prender, ten\u00eda las llantas un poco desinfladas y su estado de pintura estaba bastante deteriorado. El interior ten\u00eda unos forros de pana azul deste\u00f1idos y viejos, adem\u00e1s el tim\u00f3n estaba recubierto por un forro grueso de caucho pegajoso, como el de los taxis. Lo miraron detenidamente notando que se ve\u00eda derecho y muy bien de latas aunque no se moviera muy bien. Felipe le propuso a Cristian hacerle un peritaje al carro. Lo llevaron al taller de Don Jos\u00e9 Barrera, donde llegaron por recomendaci\u00f3n de Lucho Garc\u00eda. Se desped\u00eda del carro su hija de unos 8 a\u00f1os mientras que llenos de alegr\u00eda e ilusi\u00f3n lo recib\u00edan Mart\u00edn y Felipe. Ya con el E21 en casa invitaron al resto de la familia a que bajara al garaje a conocerlo. No vieron el potencial que padre e hijo si ve\u00edan. La hija menor de Felipe, que en aquel entonces tendr\u00eda unos 7 a\u00f1os, dijo: <em>pap\u00e1 este carro est\u00e1 lleno de manijas.<\/em> Por su parte la mayor complement\u00f3: <em>es un carro viejo<\/em>. Mart\u00edn les respondi\u00f3: <em>\u00a1<\/em><em>no, es un cl\u00e1sico! <\/em> En ese momento qued\u00f3 bautizado <em>El Cl\u00e1sico<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El carro estuvo en el taller de Jos\u00e9 Barrera unas 6 semanas, donde lo pintaron, le cambiaron culata, porque estaba porosa, el eje de levas, adem\u00e1s de organizarle m\u00faltiples detalles. Los primeros paseos en <em>El Cl\u00e1sico<\/em> fueron por la Sabana con Mart\u00edn y llev\u00e1ndolo a los diferentes eventos de carros en el Aut\u00f3dromo de Tocancip\u00e1, donde siempre participan en pruebas de regularidad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fue regresando a casa un s\u00e1bado del aut\u00f3dromo con Mart\u00edn que Felipe recibi\u00f3 la llamada de Fernando Vargas. El presidente del Club BMW Cl\u00e1sicos Colombia lo contactaba para ofrecerle unos rines para el E21. Fueron 10 minutos de ver fotos y discutir con Mart\u00edn los que le permitieron a Felipe comprar unos rines BBS que casualmente fueron producidos en junio de 1981, en el mismo mes que <em>El Cl\u00e1sico<\/em>. Se mandaron a restaurar, se consiguieron unas llantas rin 15 y se instalaron. Se apreciaba muy alto el carro as\u00ed que tomaron la decisi\u00f3n de comprar una suspensi\u00f3n sport para reemplazar la que ya ten\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img justify;\">En el proceso de restauraci\u00f3n de <em>El Cl\u00e1sico<\/em>, en t\u00e9rminos generales, se han realizado los siguientes trabajos:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Interior:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Se restaur\u00f3 el sistema de aire acondicionado y calefacci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li>Se restaur\u00f3 el radio y se instalaron parlantes y antena nuevos (NOS).<\/li>\n<li>Se repar\u00f3 la guantera que ten\u00eda la tapa rota.<\/li>\n<li>Se instalaron los portamapas en ambas puertas.<\/li>\n<li>Se repar\u00f3 la puerta derecha cuyo seguro no funcionaba.<\/li>\n<li>Se repar\u00f3 el sistema de espejos el\u00e9ctricos.<\/li>\n<li>Se destaparon los desag\u00fces del <em>sunroof<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Se cambiaron las chapas de las ventanas traseras.<\/li>\n<li>Se instalaron los protectores de las palancas de ajuste de las sillas delanteras.<\/li>\n<li>Se instalaron las tapas de los cinturones de seguridad.<\/li>\n<li>Se instalaron las tapas de los tornillos de la silla trasera.<\/li>\n<li>Se instalaron los bujes de pl\u00e1stico de las chapas de las dos puertas.<\/li>\n<li>Se complet\u00f3 al 100% la caja de herramientas grande, con esponja, bombillos y fusibles de la \u00e9poca.<\/li>\n<li>Se ajusto el bot\u00edn de caucho que cubre le freno de mano.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img Se asoci\u00f3 y as\u00ed fue invitado a participar del coctel en el que el Club BMW 2002 Colombia hizo un relanzamiento con su cambio de nombre a Club BMW Cl\u00e1sicos Colombia. All\u00ed le llamaron la atenci\u00f3n la gran cantidad de asistentes adem\u00e1s de la notoria camarader\u00eda entre socios e invitados. El profesionalismo del club de cl\u00e1sicos lo atrajo a tal punto que decidi\u00f3 afiliarse esa misma noche para compartir con otros el placer de revivir la pasi\u00f3n por el cl\u00e1sico alem\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durante el proceso de restauraci\u00f3n, reparaci\u00f3n y refacci\u00f3n de <em>El Cl\u00e1sico<\/em> ha sido siempre apoyado por amables y certeros concejos de los socios.
