Desde peque\u00f1o sol\u00eda mirar los carros de la marca como algo muy lejano para \u00e9l. Fue a los 25 a\u00f1os que se permiti\u00f3 so\u00f1ar y proponerse adquirir uno de estos veh\u00edculos. La promesa se hizo a largo plazo esperando contar con un empleo estable y un poder adquisitivo suficiente a futuro. Buscando incursionar en otra carrocer\u00eda, tuvo la oportunidad de adquirir un E34 525i modelo 1995 <em>post<\/em> azul oscuro. Despu\u00e9s de disfrutarlo y mejorarlo durante un a\u00f1o, lo vendi\u00f3. Sigui\u00f3 entonces un E30 323i. Despu\u00e9s de disfrutarlo\u00a0por un tiempo decidi\u00f3 venderlo.\u00a0Compr\u00f3\u00a0entonces un E21 \u00a0320\/6 modelo 1982\u00a0<em>post<\/em>. Posteriormente lo vendi\u00f3 pensando en tener un E30. Lleg\u00f3 a sus manos entonces un cuatro puertas\u00a0<em>post<\/em>, muy buena base, pero hab\u00eda que hacerle mucho. Decidi\u00f3 entonces meterle todo el equipo que hab\u00eda disponible en la \u00e9poca: rines BBS, sillas Recaro, parlantes\u00a0<em>sound system<\/em>,\u00a0<em>strut bar<\/em>\u00a0Sparco, spoiler y babero. Con la finalizaci\u00f3n de los E30\u00a0<em>pre<\/em>, que en su mayor\u00eda salieron con motores 2.3, BMW cambi\u00f3 por una mec\u00e1nica 2.5 con otra inyecci\u00f3n, con m\u00e1s caballos de fuerza y mayor equipamiento. Fueron modelos muy escasos mundialmente. Andr\u00e9s lo adquiri\u00f3 con el concepto de arreglarlo a partir de una carrocer\u00eda y mec\u00e1nica original. Lo primero fue una pintura general buscando remover rayones y retomar brillo. Alg\u00fan propietario anterior hab\u00eda pasado a negro todas las molduras para darle un aire m\u00e1s moderno, pero originalmente iban cromadas como en todos los E30 <em>pre<\/em>.\u00a0La decisi\u00f3n entonces de\u00a0devolverlo a su estado original conllev\u00f3 un proceso tedioso pero finalmente se logr\u00f3 con muy buenos resultados. Algunas partes tuvieron que conseguirse nuevas: <em>NOS<\/em>. Los repuestos <em>NOS<\/em> (<em>New Old Stock<\/em>) son partes que se consiguen completamente nuevas pero que fueron fabricadas en la \u00e9poca del veh\u00edculo. En el proceso de mejoras Andr\u00e9s le cambi\u00f3 defensas, rines, boceles, tapizados y radio, entre otros. Conocer m\u00e1s personas entusiastas de la marca lo llev\u00f3 a volverse cada vez m\u00e1s obsesivo por la perfecci\u00f3n y el detalle.\u00a0Lleg\u00f3 a la conclusi\u00f3n de que es mejor comprar un carro que sea una buena base en cuanto a carrocer\u00eda y puntas de chasis, que los \u00fanicos detalles que haya que mejorarle sean de pintura y lujos. Viene con una relaci\u00f3n de caja muy bien lograda que permite llegar a muy buenas velocidades. Hasta el momento, seg\u00fan Andr\u00e9s, el carro va a un 95%. Le faltan cosas tales como los parlantes, los <em>twitters<\/em>, y dem\u00e1s detalles m\u00ednimos. En la b\u00fasqueda de tener un carro de estos en perfectas condiciones nunca llega uno a un final, y es tal vez esto lo m\u00e1s divertido. Durante su proceso de aprendizaje e inter\u00e9s por BMW Andr\u00e9s ha tenido E12, E21, E28, E30, E36 y E46.
